What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
The best time for newborn photos is between 7 and 10 days after birth. The first few days are hard, you're just meeting each other and figuring each other out. If you carried your baby, you're also still bloated and frankly tired. The younger the baby, the more naturally they pose like they are still in the womb.
How should we dress for our family session?
There’s a delicate balance between complete matching and clashing. The key is to pick a color palette, a few complementary colors, and have everyone wear colors within that palette. You might all wear different colored shirts, but if they are in the palette, it will still look cohesive.
We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?
Simply let me know. We don't have to do stuffy poses. We can always shoot more lifestyle-like imagery. Photos should be fun, not complicated!
